Q: What day is the Celebration of Athletes?
A: The Celebration of Athletes will take place on Friday, July 14 at the Pittsburgh Pirates game. A pre-game parade of athletes on the field will kick off the festivities followed by a ceremonial first pitch, passing of the torch and much more!
Q: How do I sign up to attend the Pirates game?
A: An email will be sent to your registered athlete email address starting Friday, May 19 to access the FEVO ticket link to claim your free athlete ticket and/or buy friends and family tickets.
Q: If I do not plan to attend the Pirates game, during the Celebration of Athletes, can I still sign up to attend the Parade of Athletes?
A: All registered athletes are welcome to attend the Parade of Athletes but MUST be able to present their athlete credentials at pre-staging.
Q: If my partner and I are both athletes and share the same email are we able to get 2 free athlete tickets using that email address?
A: Unfortunately, no. Each athlete must have their own individual email to claim their complimentary ticket.
Q How much does the ticket cost?
A: Each registered athlete for the 2023 National Senior Games is provided with one complimentary ticket. Friends and families can then purchase other tickets for $15 + fees. On average, tickets in these sections are regularly $40+.
Q: I already claimed my free athlete ticket but forgot to purchase my friends and family tickets, how do I purchase them?
A: Find the link and when purchasing tickets be sure to add your athlete email address to ensure we do our best to group you all together in your state section.
Q: What time do athletes need to arrive at the park? Can friends and family come too?
A: Pre-staging for the Parade of Athletes will begin at 5:00 p.m. for athletes. For friends and family, gates open to the public at 5:30 p.m.
Q: What time does the Pirates game start for the Celebration of Athletes?
A: The Pirates game vs. the San Francisco Giants begins at 7:05 p.m.
Q: What do I do when it says I purchased/claimed a ticket, but I did not?
A: For this, you will just need to clear your “cache” and begin the process again. This happened because the session was timed out.
Q: How do I sit with my friends and family?
A: Please purchase your friends and family tickets at the same time as you claim your free athlete ticket they will sit among you, your team and state!
Q: When do I need to get my ticket by?
A: In order to sit with your state and sport, please purchase tickets by July 1, 2023.
Q: What happens if I misplace my athlete ticket?
A: You will want to report to the main ticket box office at the ballpark with your athlete credentials for more information.
Q: As an athlete, do I physically need to pick up my ticket in person?
A: Yes, all athletes are required to pick up their ticket at any of our ticket pick up locations on July 12-14.

9 a.m.- 5 p.m.: PNC Park -Main Box Office off West General Robinson
July 13
9 a.m.-Noon: PNC Park Main Box Office off West General Robinson
1-6 p.m.: David L Lawrence Convention Center
July 14
9 a.m.-3 p.m.: PNC Park Main Box Office off West General Robinson
4-7:05 p.m.: PNC Park Right Field staging area (exact location TBD)
7:05 p.m.-End of Game: Main Box Office off West General Robinson
Q: Where are our seats located in PNC Park?
A: National Senior Games athletes, friends and family will have seats assigned to them allocated by the state you’re representing in the lower-level sections of the ballpark.
Q: Once I am at PNC park where do I go?
A: All athletes are to report to the cul-de-sac at the end Mazeroski Way on the SW side of PNC Park. If you are at the Homeplate entrance near the Honus Wagner statue, walk down Mazeroski Way towards the rivers.

Q: I am interested in purchasing a large number of tickets for my friends and family, how can I make sure we all sit together?

Q: Is there a clear bag policy?
A: No. Each Guest is permitted to bring one bag into the ballpark (purses, fanny packs, backpacks, etc.) provided that the bag is soft-sided and 16” x 16” x 8” or smaller. Bags exceeding these dimensions will not be permitted inside the ballpark. All bags are subject to search.
Q: Where can I park?
A: Parking lots surrounding PNC Park will include Gold 1 lot, Gold 1 garage, Gold 2 lot, Gold 4 lot, Red 5 garage, Red 5A lot, Red 6 lot, Blue 10 garage, Red 7A lot and Red 7C lot. Please click here for more information and possibility to purchase parking in advance.
Q: If I’m early, is there anywhere I can I go to eat before the game?
A: There are plenty of delicious restaurants located along the North Shore. Southern Tier Brewing Co., North Shore Traven, Mike’s Beer Bar, McFadden’s, Vincent’s from Greentree Pizza and much more!
