Yoga For Gardeners: Flowing Through Change

The series is designed to progressively build strength, mobility, and balance over the three months. Each month introduces new themes and challenges, allowing participants to grow their practice as they move forward. However, each class is structured to be accessible to all levels, offering a stand-alone experience so that participants can join for just one month without feeling lost or behind. Classes will focus on foundational principles while layering in new elements of challenge, meaning that those attending regularly will feel a sense of progression and continuity.
Ona is a passionate yoga instructor and the founder of Sol Soul Sole, a holistic movement dedicated to promoting health and well-being while representing overlooked and underserved communities. She views yoga as a mental, physical, and spiritual recalibration tool, inspiring individuals to cultivate mindfulness, inner peace, resilience, and growth both on and off the mat.
Our theme for yoga classes in February is "Flowing Through Change". This month focuses on adaptability, reflecting how we can move gracefully through the transitions in our bodies and lives. Just as nature begins to subtly awaken beneath the surface, we too can embrace change with ease, learning to flow with life's transitions rather than resist them. This will be a time to foster fluidity, allowing us to move through the shifts that arise with grace and acceptance - trusting in the process of growth.
The physical practice emphasizes mobility and flexibility, encouraging smooth transitions and fluid movement. Classes will become more dynamic, featuring breath-linked vinyasa flows, sun salutations, and mobility-focused sequences that enhance range of motion and build body control. Each movement will be linked to the breath, reflecting the natural rhythm of life. The focus will be on asanas that promote mobility and body control, cultivating a sense of ease in movement.
