The Pittsburgh Difference

The SportsPITTSBURGH team celebrated its inaugural year in 2016 with many impressive accomplishments including participation on a local bid committee that was formed to submit 70 separate NCAA® championship bids under one Pittsburgh proposal. Pittsburgh was awarded 22 NCAA preliminary and championship events from 2018-2022, more than any other city. The city followed that impressive campaign with the awarding of 11 additional NCAA preliminary and championship events for the 2022-26 cycle.

SportsPITTSBURGH has been honored to welcome so many talented student-athletes to the Pittsburgh region, to support them as they work hard to achieve life-long dreams and to crown dozens of deserving champions in the City of Champions.

With each NCAA® Championship event, SportsPITTSBURGH strives to provide an Iconic Experience to not only the student-athletes and fans, but also to the NCAA® staff, committee members and media. The SportsPITTSBURGH Team looks forward to welcoming future NCAA Championship events.
